Over the past four months, Fuad and his team visited various mangrove habitats on Pulau Ubin, including abandoned shrimp ponds. Fuad’s research is interested in understanding the carbon dynamics in abandoned shrimp ponds by comparing them to established mangrove forests and mudflats.
