Research Interest
Fuad is an environmental scientist with over six years of experience in aquatic ecology, marine conservation, and sustainable aquaculture. His work spans research, project implementation, and policy engagement with organizations such as Oxfam, FAO, WWF, and Conservation International. Fuad’s key interest lies in sustainable aquatic ecosystem management to support low-emission, inclusive fisheries and aquaculture practices.
Biography
Fuad holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science (specializing in Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Management) from Wageningen University, the Netherlands, and a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries (specializing in Aquaculture) from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia. He is currently joining the lab as PhD student, working on research exploring the intriguing interaction between coastal fish/shrimp farming and mangrove ecosystems in Indonesia by evaluating emissions and greenhouse gases (GHGs) dynamics.
