Research Interest

Research Title: Carbon dioxide and methane exchange in an urban mangrove.

Main supervisor: Prof. Cyril Marchand

My research interests lie at the intersection of ecosystem ecology, biogeochemistry, and climate science. I am particularly interested in understanding the dynamics of greenhouse gas fluxes (CO₂, CH₄, H₂O) in tropical coastal ecosystems, with a special focus on mangroves under increasing anthropogenic and climatic pressures. Growing up surrounded by coastal and island environments, I have developed a strong personal commitment to studying and protecting these ecosystems that are both ecologically crucial and socially valuable.

Biography

I am currently a PhD student in biogeochemistry at the University of New Caledonia, focusing on the dynamics of carbon dioxide and methane in an urban mangrove ecosystem using the eddy covariance method. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Life and Earth Sciences from the University of New Caledonia in 2019, followed by a Master’s degree in Marine Sciences, Marine Ecology, and Fisheries at the University of the Opal Coast, with a specialization in data analysis.
